Car rental in Kraków with no deposit

At ANSCars you can rent a car with no deposit on rentals of 3 days or more: just add the Protektor package for PLN 29-49 per day, depending on the class. It removes the block on your card (PLN 500-1,500) and the damage excess (PLN 1,500-2,500). On rentals of 1 or 2 days the standard deposit applies, from PLN 500 in class B.

How does no-deposit rental with Protektor work?

Protektor replaces the deposit and the excess with a single charge added to each rental day. You tick it in the booking form, and its price is included in the amount on which the booking fee is calculated.

Without the package we block the deposit on your credit or debit card at pick-up. When the return is settled, we release the block straight away, and the funds usually reach your card within 7 days, depending on your bank. If the car is damaged, you pay up to the excess. With Protektor both amounts drop to zero.

For foreign visitors this matters for a simple reason: a large block on a card abroad can use up most of your credit limit for the whole trip. With Protektor the limit stays free for hotels and travel.

How much does Protektor cost in each class?

Protektor costs from PLN 29 per day in class B to PLN 49 per day in classes C SUV and D. The table shows which amounts disappear with the package.

How much is a week with no deposit? Examples

A week in a compact estate with no deposit costs PLN 1,190: PLN 945 for the rental and PLN 245 for Protektor. The package then costs about 12% of the excess it removes (PLN 2,000 in class C).

Prices include VAT, for a 4-7 day rental with pick-up at ul. Opolska 12. Rates may be higher during public holidays, long weekends and the summer season; we confirm the current price when you book.

No deposit at ANSCars compared with airport desks and classified ads

No-deposit car rental is rare in Kraków: in our review of offers in October 2026, only 11 of about 155 companies renting cars within 10 km of the city offered it on the Polish classifieds site OLX.

Rental desks at Kraków Airport usually block a deposit of PLN 2,200-4,400, and the excess there is PLN 3,000-8,000. The cheapest offers at PLN 33-60 per day come with a deposit of PLN 3,000-11,400. Our deposit without the package is PLN 500-1,500, and with Protektor there is none at all.

When you compare offers, look at the total cost of the rental together with the deposit, the excess and the mileage limit. The daily rate alone does not show how much you risk if the car is damaged.

When does Protektor not apply?

Protektor covers ordinary damage, but the full excess applies again if you do not follow the rental regulations. This is the case when:

• the damage was not reported or the damage report form was not completed,
• the regulations were breached, for example by driving abroad without consent,
• the car was driven by a person not named in the agreement,
• the driver was under the influence of alcohol, medication or drugs, or did not have the required documents,
• the damage was caused deliberately or by gross negligence,
• the car was stolen with the keys or documents left inside.

The package also does not cover tyres and the interior damaged by improper use, or the charges in the fee table, such as missing fuel (PLN 200 plus the cost of the fuel), cleaning (PLN 100) or smoking in the car. What to bring to pick up a car with no deposit

To pick up a car with Protektor you need your driving licence and proof of identity, with no deposit blocked on a card.

• minimum age 21 and a category B licence held for at least 2 years,
• a driving licence valid in Poland and a passport, or a national ID card for EU citizens; with some non-EU licences you also need an International Driving Permit, as explained in our guide for foreign drivers,
• the details of every additional driver (PLN 10 per day per person, max. PLN 100), because Protektor does not apply when someone outside the agreement drives,
• if you plan to drive abroad, a note in the booking (PLN 199 one-off, EU countries, Switzerland and Norway).

How to book a car with no deposit, step by step

1. In the booking form, choose the car class and dates covering at least 3 days, and tick Protektor.
2. We reply by email confirming availability, the price and the booking fee.
3. You pay the booking fee, which is 50% of the rental price including extras. From that moment the car is reserved for you.
4. On the day of pick-up you sign the agreement and pay the rest of the price. You collect the car at ul. Opolska 12 free of charge, at Kraków Airport (PLN 99) or at an address in Kraków (PLN 120).
5. We inspect the car together and complete an electronic handover report with photos, which you confirm with a code sent by text message. The return works the same way.

If you cancel, the booking fee is not refunded. If we are unable to provide the car, we offer a car of the same class or refund the full amount.
