Renting a car in Kraków as a visitor
If you are flying into Kraków, we can have the car waiting at the airport. These are the conditions that apply to every renter.
Age and licence
You must be at least 21 and have held a category B licence for at least 2 years. The same rule applies to every car class and every additional driver.
Documents
A passport (EU citizens may use a national ID card) and a driving licence valid in Poland. Depending on the country that issued your licence, you may also need an International Driving Permit, see our guide for foreign drivers.
Deposit
A refundable deposit of PLN 500-1,500, depending on the class, blocked on a credit or debit card. No deposit with Protektor on rentals of 3 days or more.
Driving abroad
Allowed to EU countries, Switzerland and Norway if you declare it when booking. One-off fee PLN 199.
Office hours
Monday to Friday 8:00-18:00, Saturday 9:00-13:00. Sundays, public holidays and other times by prior arrangement, PLN 60.

Car rental in Kraków without complications
ANSCars is a Kraków-based car rental company. Our office is at ul. Opolska 12, one of the main roads in the north of the city. From here you are quickly on the road to Warsaw, to Kraków Airport in Balice and to the A4 motorway, without driving through the centre.
We rent cars for a few days, for a weekend and for longer: for a holiday, a business trip, a move or while your own car is being repaired. The fleet includes small class B cars, compact crossovers, class C compacts and estates, family SUVs and comfortable class D mid-size cars.
Every car comes with third-party liability (OC), comprehensive damage (AC) and personal accident (NNW) insurance plus assistance. Fuel is like-for-like: you return the car with the same fuel level as at pick-up. The price includes 400 km for each rental day, or 3,000 km on a monthly rental.

KrakówKraków Airport to the City Centre: Train, Bus, Taxi or Car
The fastest way from Kraków Airport (Balice) to the city centre is the Koleje Małopolskie train: the ride to Kraków Główny station takes about 18-20 minutes and a ticket costs PLN 20. Bus 300 or night bus 902 is cheaper but slower, a taxi is more convenient (PLN 109-129 to the Old Town), and if you are staying longer you can collect a rental car straight away.

How old do I need to be to rent a car?

What documents do I need?

Can I rent a car without a deposit?
Yes. On rentals of at least 3 days, add the Protektor package (from PLN 29 per day). It removes the damage excess and the deposit.
Is there a mileage limit?
Yes. The price includes 400 km for each rental day, counted in total over the whole rental, or 3,000 km on a monthly rental. Extra kilometres cost PLN 0.30 per km.
Can I drive the car to other countries?
Yes, to EU countries, Switzerland and Norway, if you declare it when booking. The one-off fee is PLN 199. Travel abroad without consent costs PLN 1,000.
