Car rental with pick-up at Kraków Airport (Balice)
We hand over the car at the Orlen petrol station next to Kraków Airport at the agreed time for PLN 49.99, and returning it at the airport costs PLN 49.99. Deposit from PLN 500, or none with the Protektor package.
Renting a car with pick-up at Kraków Airport (Balice) costs PLN 49.99 for delivery and PLN 49.99 for the return at ANSCars, plus the rental price from PLN 119 per day in class B for 1-3 days. The deposit is PLN 500-1,500 depending on the class, and with the Protektor package on rentals of 3 days or more there is none. A typical deposit at the airport is PLN 2,200-4,400.
How much does a car with airport pick-up cost? Examples
You add PLN 49.99 for delivery and PLN 49.99 for the return at the airport to the rental price. If you return the car to our pick-up point at ul. Opolska 12, the return is free of charge.

Prices include VAT. Pick-up or return outside the opening hours of the pick-up point (Monday to Friday 8:00-20:00, Saturday 8:00-14:00), or on Sundays and public holidays, costs an extra PLN 49.99. Deposit and excess: airport desks compared with ANSCars
The deposit at ANSCars is several times lower than the typical amount at the rental desks at the airport, and with Protektor there is none.

The figures come from our review of offers in October 2026. Daily rates at the airport can be similar or lower, for example about PLN 95-105 for a small car for 1-3 days, and the cheapest offers at PLN 33-60 per day come with a deposit of PLN 3,000-11,400. How it works here: eight rules
Each rule answers one of the most common complaints about chain rental desks. You can check them before you book and hold us to them after you return the car.
The price in the form is final
We do not upsell anything at the handover. You choose Protektor and extras online, and the fee list is public.
Debit or credit card
We block the deposit on a debit or credit card; an ordinary bank card in the renter's name is enough. Prepaid cards and cards such as Zen or Revolut are not accepted.
A delayed flight does not cancel your booking
You give us your flight number, we monitor the flight and, if it is delayed, adapt to you as far as possible. PLN 49.99 applies only to handovers outside opening hours, never to a delay.
No queue
We hand over the car at our pick-up point or at the address you choose, and the handover takes 10 minutes. The agreement and the report are ready before you arrive.
We record scratches together
Photos at handover and return, and you confirm the report with an SMS code. After the return we add nothing that is not in the report.
You book a class; a change is your call
If we have to change the model, we tell you before the handover: a car of the same class or a full refund. Never a lower class at the same price.
One person, one contact
We reply within 15 minutes during opening hours. The team that answers your questions is the team that hands over the car.
Settlement at the car, deposit released at once
Returns are always with a member of staff. You confirm any charges on the spot and we release the deposit hold after the settlement.
How to book and collect a car at the airport, step by step
We hand over the car at the airport at the time agreed in the booking: we inspect the car together, complete a report with photos and you sign the agreement.
- In the booking form, choose the car class, the dates and the pick-up location "Kraków Airport". In the notes, enter your flight number and planned arrival time.
- We reply by email confirming availability, the price, the booking fee and the place and time of the handover.
- You pay the booking fee, which is 30% of the rental price including extras (minimum PLN 150), online by card or bank transfer. From that moment the car is reserved for you.
- If your arrival time changes, email kontakt@anscars.com. We agree a new handover time individually; a handover outside the opening hours of the pick-up point costs PLN 49.99.
- At the car you show your documents, sign the agreement, pay the rest of the price and leave the deposit, unless you have Protektor.
- We complete an electronic handover report with photos of the front, rear, sides, odometer and interior, plus the mileage and fuel level. You receive a text message with a code and a link to the report, and entering the code confirms its content. A short summary of the return rules is on the rental terms page.
Rental companies with offices at the airport have their desks in the terminal on level +1. We have no desk there: we meet you at the Orlen petrol station next to the airport, ul. Olszanicka 174, 30-241 Kraków (map; turn left when you leave the terminal, about 500 m), and the meeting time is given in your booking confirmation.
What to prepare before your flight
Before you fly to Kraków, check that you have all the documents with you, because we cannot hand over the car without them.
- a category B driving licence held for at least 2 years, valid and recognised in Poland (minimum age 21),
- a passport, or a national ID card for EU citizens,
- a credit or debit card in the renter's name for the deposit (no prepaid cards or cards such as Zen or Revolut), unless you choose Protektor,
- the details and documents of every additional driver (PLN 10 per day per person, max. PLN 100),
- a child seat ordered in the booking (PLN 15 per day, max. PLN 150) and travel abroad declared in the booking (PLN 199), if you plan it.

Which car to choose for arrival with luggage
For 1-2 people with suitcases a class B car is enough, while a family with more luggage travels more comfortably in an estate or an SUV.
- Class B, e.g. Toyota Yaris Hybrid or similar: a short stay, the city and day trips, from PLN 119 per day.
- Class C estate, Kia Ceed SW or similar, boot of about 625 litres: a family with suitcases, see class C on the fleet page.
- Class C SUV, Toyota RAV4 or similar with an automatic gearbox: the mountains and long drives, see class C SUV.
- Class D, Škoda Superb or similar: a business trip, collecting guests from the airport or a long drive in comfort, from PLN 155 per day.

Returning the car at the airport before your flight
You book the airport return for a specific time and pay PLN 49.99 for it. Plan it with time to spare before check-in.
- A rental day is 24 hours from the time of pick-up. Pick-up on Friday at 14:00 and return on Monday at 14:00 is 3 days. A return more than 59 minutes late without consent costs 200% of the daily rate for each day.
- Fuel: fill up before you drive to the airport, to the level at pick-up. Missing fuel costs PLN 200 plus the cost of the fuel.
- Do not plan the return in the Kiss&Fly zone. Free stopping there is limited to 8 minutes, including entry and exit, and the driver may not leave the car. We give the return location in the confirmation.
- The return report with photos is confirmed with a code sent by text message, including any charges, so you do not wait for paper documents.
Frequently asked questions
Where exactly do I collect the car at the airport?
We have no desk in the terminal; a member of the ANSCars team brings the car. We meet you at the Orlen petrol station next to the airport (ul. Olszanicka 174, 30-241 Kraków), the only one there: turn left when you leave the terminal, about 500 m. The meeting time is given in your booking confirmation. The handover with the report and signing the agreement usually takes 10-15 minutes.
What if my flight is delayed?
Enter your flight number in the booking notes. We monitor the flight and, if it is delayed, adjust the meeting time at the Orlen petrol station next to the airport as far as possible; your booking is not cancelled. If you know in advance that your arrival time will change, email kontakt@anscars.com and we will agree a new handover time individually. The rental day is counted from the actual handover time, and a handover outside the opening hours of the pick-up point costs PLN 49.99.
Can I return the car at the airport at night or on a Sunday?
Yes, if the time is agreed in advance. The airport return costs PLN 49.99, and outside the opening hours of the pick-up point, that is outside Monday to Friday 8:00-20:00 and Saturday 8:00-14:00, or on Sundays and public holidays, we add PLN 49.99. The condition of the car is recorded in a report with photos, which you confirm with a code sent by text message, including any charges.
Can I pick the car up at the airport and return it in Kraków?
Yes. You then pay only for delivery to the airport, PLN 49.99, and the return to our pick-up point at ul. Opolska 12 is free. It also works the other way round: you collect the car at the pick-up point free of charge and return it at the airport for PLN 49.99. This saves you the PLN 49.99 delivery fee.
Can a foreign visitor rent a car with airport pick-up?
Yes. You need a passport, a driving licence that is valid and recognised in Poland, a minimum age of 21 and at least 2 years of driving experience. We block the deposit on a credit or debit card, and with Protektor on rentals of 3 days or more we do not block it at all. You contact us through the booking form or by email.
Can I rent a car at the airport with no deposit?
Yes, on rentals of 3 days or more with the Protektor package, which costs 1.5% of the excess per day (PLN 37.50-52.50, minimum PLN 129.99, maximum PLN 625-875 per rental). It removes the deposit and the damage excess. On rentals of 1 or 2 days we block a deposit from PLN 500 in class B to PLN 1,500 in classes C SUV and D.
How many kilometres are included in an airport rental?
You get 400 km for each day, counted in total over the whole rental, and pay PLN 0.30 per km above the limit. On a 3-day rental that is 1,200 km. In our 1-3 day rentals a car typically covered 313 km, and 18.7% of those rentals paid for extra kilometres. If you plan a long route, work out the distance before booking.
Can I drive from the airport to another country?
Yes, to EU countries, Switzerland and Norway, if you declare it in the booking. The fee is PLN 199 one-off, regardless of the rental length. Travel abroad without consent in the agreement costs PLN 1,000 and means the Protektor package no longer protects you against the excess.
